  3. We compensate at the top of the market, not the bottom. 

  4. We over-communicate and over-exert to help influencers deliver their best work.

  5. We treat influencers as fellow humans and community members: with compassion, sincerity, and gratitude.

  6. We strive to leave every influencer’s personal brand better off than when we found it.

We ENRICH our community.

  1. We strive to give more than we take from every community we interact with.

  2. Every sponsored placement in a technical community must add signal, not noise.

  3. If we wouldn’t stand up in front of a community and promote something ourselves, we should never ask another community member to promote it.

We SUPPORT each other.

  1. We are strategically lazy: always looking for a way to automate repetitive work.

  2. We avoid human single points of failure.

  3. We give each other grace and space: trusting each other to make decisions in line with our values, understanding that we are human and will fall short at times.

  4. We are whole people with lives and families outside of work. If work interferes with a healthy family life, the work is the problem, not the family.
